Description

Position Summary: 

The Youth Direct Services Manager position is development focused, strategy and leadership oriented. 

Applicants with experience working with staff in a supervisory role or project supervision. It is essential 

that interested applicants have a commitment to grow with the organization, demonstrate consistent 

professionalism and willing to serve as a “thought partner” with direct reports, management team members 

and executive staff as well as embody patience, work/life balance, creativity, and are self-starting, engaged 

employees.

Experience/Education:

  • Ability to work with disadvantaged youth and/or distressed communities preferred
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office/Google Apps
  • Familiar with SOAP (an acronym for subjective, objective, assessment, and plan) notes
  • Demonstrate ability to network and advance the mission of the program
  • A four-year degree is required or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of four years of management experience
  • At least one full program year serving as a committee lead.

  • Advocate for youth. 
  • Ability to work independent. 
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries. 
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Ability to exercise tact and judgment in working with a broad variety of people.

The REAP staff works together in a distributed fashion, due to our program work taking place in

school settings. REAP staff are flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to the mission, but may not see

each other in the organization’s office as often as the staff of most groups. The person in this position

will work in the office more than most other staff members, but needs to be relatively self-sufficient

and a self-starter.

Job Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to the following): 

• Execute program planning, management and reporting 

• Subject matter lead for Programs, ensuring quality and compliance, and fostering (in collaboration with

management team and Director of Programs) innovation, program development and best practices 

• Supervisor and mentor to staff in Programs, managing performance, and supporting teamwork and 

communications, training and development (e.g., cross-program and cross-site learning, credentialing, etc.) 

• Engage with students, families, school/district personnel, and partners as lead representative of the Programs 

• Partner with Director of Programs & program management team on programmatic & administrative 

priorities
